As your water treatment partners, Ag Partners SW is here to help. We are more than aware that Ca. and Az. LGMA’s requires treating irrigation water within the 21 DTH window and though this is required and often difficult to fully grasp, rest assured that APSW is poised to serve. From the simplest of approaches to inject various chemicals, we can design simple, inexpensive solutions using venturi based systems. Want something more sophisticated with more automation? If so, we can build electronic injection systems that monitor flow and adjust chemical rates to meet your desired residuals per your SOP. You will be using gassy chemicals too? No problem, we can design and provide, simple, straightforward, peristaltic pump systems that work reliably and that don’t lose prime as they drive your gassy chemicals into your irrigation water. Let us know how we can help!
your options are NOT just chemicals
Over the last few years, the Leafy Green industry has suffered no small amount of worry due to illness and death. When people consume the products grown in your fields, they expect that they will be safe, healthy, and non-injurious to their family upon eating. Due to so many factors that face today’s growers, many paths to contaminate these crops abound: animal and bird threats, concentrated cattle operations, field to harvest to cooler issues, and from market to table variables that are simply—and in all reality—often out of one’s control. And while growers desire to provide safe food into the marketplace, irrigation waters that nourish these crops have also been implicated as another potential path for life-threatening bacteria.
Proudly, our industry has responded. And fortunately, many fine, reputable, and EPA approved chemicals/products are available to serve your disinfection needs. From solid and liquid Chlorine based products to multi-part Chlorine Dioxide products to activated peroxygen chemistries like PAA, these are all wonderful disinfection solutions to meet your water treatment needs. We have experience with and actively deploy these solutions and are under contract with many local growers to utilize them during the growing season. And we do!
Introducing the Sunburst 12-40
Over our many years of treating water than began in 2012, a resounding concern has persisted over the long-term consequences of using chemicals. Beside the safety measures that must logically be deployed when handling chemicals on behalf of personnel using these chemicals, another significantly important question being asked by food safety personnel and landowners goes like this: “But what is happening to the soil under continued usages of these chemicals?” That is a valid question, a good question, and one that is being studied by science personnel at this very moment.
-We started asking the same questions.
-We started having the same concerns.
-And for the last two years….we have been working.
And we are proud to introduce, the first of its kind, a small-footprint, affordable, water treatment product, using Ultraviolet light! After endless study, engineering, design, prototyping, much investment, and UofA trials, our system is now made available to the agriculture industry!
Housed in a 71 inch, 12” steel chamber that connects to your irrigation mainline, powered by your readily available AC generator, we have designed a system that can treat your irrigation waters—WITHOUT CHEMICALS. This system has proven to be another option that is not only effective, but deployable next to your common, booster pump setup.
This system is available now and production units are being manufactured, right here in the heart of Leafy Green production, Yuma, Arizona. We would love to talk to you about this exciting, new product and tell you more.
